MIKE CANNINGTONDirector through July 31, 2022Elected by IBC Youth Committeemike.firstname.lastname@example.orgMike Cannington of Fort Myers, Florida, is the sales and marketing director for Bowling Management Associates, operators of seven bowling centers in southwest Florida. He has been a member of the International Bowling Campus Youth Committee since 2014. A lifelong bowler, Cannington was captain of the University of South Florida bowling team (1978-1980) while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications (1980). He has taken on leadership roles with both business and civic organizations throughout his four decades in business. He served as President of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce in 2004-2005 and currently is on the board of directors, and also has been a board member for the local YMCA, March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy and the Alliance for the Arts. Cannington served eight years as a member of the Southwest Florida USBC association and currently is working on the member events committee for the Bowling Centers Association of Florida (BCAF). Prior to joining Bowling Management in 2009, his career was quite varied – sports broadcaster, anchor, reporter for 12 years, marketing director for a national restaurant chain franchise group for 15 years and two years as marketing director for a Harley-Davidson dealership group.
